Given that we’re stuck with the need to wear glasses to use 3D for the moment, these are easy to use. They come supplied with the batteries so hold down the button while the television is on and shazam, 3D is in your living room. We all enjoyed the movie, kids and adults, it’s beautifully animated and provided you have a Samsung 3D telly (These only work with Samsung TV) I recommend these as the cheapest way to get extra glasses. PS remember that Samsung are giving a pair away with the TV in the box and although not publicised, another pair by redemption off their website simply by entering the serial number of the TV!

I upgraded to a Samsung 3D TV…wow!!! I know there is little to watch on 3D yet. We will have to wait till Crhistmas or straight after. However Sky have just released the 3D channel, Ryder Cup in 3D was amazing, the perspectives were superb. These glasses are not the rechargeable ones but there is plenty of hours in each throw away battery. I would recommend them because the weight on your nose is far less than the rechargeable ones.

Glasses arrived broken. Customer service didn’t respond until I complained through amazon. Then I received an email in bad English and with unclear instructions. Many weeks later I’m still stuck with these broken glasses.

I bought this along with the HT – C5500 and it worked straight out of the box…. No fiddling about or lost signal.
It does indeed still require speaker cables between the two rear speakers to be connected to it, as the Unit itself is the “Wireless Receiver”
But you DONT need to have cables coming from your surround sound system, to the rear speakers anymore…. thats the whole point of this eh?
If you are the sort that has a bit of common sence, then you would place that “Thin” Rear Cables underneath the skirking board or under the carpet, to hide the cables… and you would place the Wireless unit where it wont be seen…. Seemples eh?
This unit saves you having to Route the very long rear cables from your Surround System at the front of your room, all the way back to the other end of your room, which can be a bit tricky and hard work depending on your layout…. so this unit will save you that hassle where you can place your speakers where you want at the rear of the room, and not having to worry about where that cables will go from the surround system to them….
This is a ‘No-Brainer’ tip to the reviewers here that had negative comments about this unit… they should have read its description a little bit more eh?
It works perfect, and I have no cables showing and the unit is placed over 4M from the Sussound system, so I am very, very happy with it.

The surround sound system I have is a 2009 model. I was researching the remote receiver for a 1252 system and I kept getting links to the 5000 model. As the previous reviewer is the only one to note it is not backwards compatible with Blu-ray surround sound systems with wireless capability pre 2010. So to save some grief check before purchase. There is almost no notification anywhere about this. Even Amazon list it as a newer model but forget to mention compatability issues with 2008/9 surround sound systems that are still readily available. Samsung site kept crashing.I hope this saves you some grief due to lack of clear information provided generally by almost everone. Last bit, if you have an earlier model(2009) cinema system it will require the SWA-4000 wireless receiver.

This kit worked straight out of the box, I can’t believe some of the comments by people who have been disppointed with this i.e., – It isn’t wireless – Noooo, it doesn’t claim to be. – It isn’t backward compatible, use the one recommended in the base HT manual.
My wife hasn’t moaned about the cables and that means I am happy as a sand boy!

You still need to run wires from the wireless receiver to each speaker and in my small room, it made the wireless receiver totally pointless as it was only saving about 5m of wiring – Not worth the purchase price!
Saying that, I did set it all up and trial it and it seemed to work fine but I just couldn’t justify the cost and returned the unit
