GTR Tablet – Superb!,
I had a 7″ Tablet for around 5 months until it gave up the ghost recently. I tried to find the seller I bought it from, however couldn’t locate them any more so did some research and came across the GTR Tablet.
I received my tablet very quickly and out the box it looked pretty much the same as the one I had before… however that’s where the similarities stopped. On closer inspection it has a barcode and GTR logo on the rear of the Tablet, and comes complete with new screen protector and several stylus. On switching it on it was a different beast to what I had before. My last one came with a large number of apps included, however quite a number of them were Chinese games and websites which weren’t of much use or interest. The GTR Tablet only has UK apps (which all work!) which I found to be really helpful. On top of that all the main ones are already pre-loaded on the home screen for you like Kindle, Google Market, FaceBook etc…
From the main screen there is a WIFI icon which allows you to connect to your internet. This tablet is an excellent example of how simple is better! Click on the icon, pick your WIFI network from the list presented, enter your password and there you have it, instant WIFI! My last tablet was just as easy to set up and had similar menu’s and functions, however I must admit the GTR version is a lot faster. The WIFI range and connection reliability is a lot better, and everything just seems to run smoother and faster. The touch screen feels quicker and more sensitive too.
I bought this with similar expectations of the one I had but I wanted to write this review as it’s a far better model and is fantastically priced.
Well done GTR Electronics, would highly recommend.

Be warned when you buy this, mine had two screen protectors on it! The second was difficult to spot (and get off) but in doing so, all was fine.
It’s certainly not an ipad, nor does it carry the price tag, but at this price it certainly does the job once you have mastered how to get around it. WiFi and apps no problem. I was actually expecting it to be a lot slower than it was and to have to have to re-sync the touch screen but didn’t need to.
Comfortable to hold and a remarkable product for the price. There are a couple of downsides though; I obviously hadn’t read the blurb properly as I was expecting a USB port and what you get is a “transfer box” with two USB ports and a ethernet connection that you plug directly into the tablet which has a rather old style male/female port. One more is the international power supply plug, which does the job, hums a bit and doesn’t look that strong. The final problem could be easily rectified and it is the manual. This was nigh on impossible to read. I hadn’t seen print that small and badly defined in years! Maybe GTR may consider doing a pdf version to email to customers???
However, the three downsides are a small niggle at this price. Take into account this particular seller who goes outside of what is required to help you out with any problems you may have (my transfer box was a bit wobbly, so it was immediately replaced FOC of course), and you are on to a winner.
GTR has given great customer service, speedy communication, excellent service, and is therefore an all round good guy who I would happily deal with again and recommend to my mother!
