This is my review of the Case-mate barely there case. I received it really quickly from Amazon uk, I literally slipped my phone into this case, it went in smoothly. It makes the phone about 1mm thicker, so it is still low-profile and stylish. It feels grippy, and fits like a glove. It’s tough and slim. Love it, gives the phone a more sturdy feel.

The Case Mate Barely There case for Samsung Galaxy S is made of a hard plastic, but with a soft feel to it’s surface. It fits the handset perfectly, and is simple to fit and to remove. The cut outs are there for the power button, camera lens, speaker and volume buttons, and are in exactly the right places, in fact it’s much easier to find the power button with the case on, for when you want to switch the screen off.
The back of the phone is well protected, but I’m not as sure about the corners. I’ve tried not to drop the phone, and not sure how well it would fare in that situation.
The case comes with a screen protector too. The screen protector is a bit fiddly to apply, but it fits the screen well when you get it positioned right.
Overall I would give this product 9/10 losing a mark for the amount of protection offered to the phone corners in a drop to the floor situation. I noticed that there is also “heavy duty” version by Case Mate which could be better if you’re prone to dropping your phone on the floor or whatever.
For me though, the “Barely There” case does exactly what I need, and far better than the cheaper silicone type cases.

I purchased this case for my fiance for her Samsung Galaxy S. She loves it. It is a very well made case and actually looks better than the boring back of the Galaxy S. It has a nice mirror finish so she can check her make up! Not sure how much protection it would offer if you dropped the phone as it is quite a hard plastic material it is made from. The free screen protector is a nice touch as my fiance has managed to get nail glue on every screen of every phone she has ever owned.

The case is good and fits very well, although not sure how much protection is would actually provide. The screen protector though is poorly designed – there are a couple of sticky tabs which are intended to help you apply the screen, but one of them seems to be attached with superglue! This means that after you apply the protector, you have to scrape the corner of the screen to get the glue off, which goes against the whole point of having a screen protector. In fact, I still can’t get all the glue off, so I’m going to have to try some white spirit tonight, though I’m not too keen on letting it near my phone.

Excellent product.. smooth, tough, and barely noticeable.. even the screen protector that comes with it is excellent and alot better of some of the others out there. Highly recommended.
